Pumpkin carving or painting Friday

The Roanoke Rapids High School Student Council will hold a pumpkin carving or painting fundraiser at 4 p.m. Friday at the school. Pumpkins have been donated by Isles Pumpkin Farm and are $3 each. Town of Gaston to celebrate Halloween

GASTON — The Town of Gaston will host a Halloween Trick or Treat Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday for kids up to age 13 at town hall, 223 Craige St. Dress in Halloween costume attire.

Trunk or treat at New Hope United Methodist

A Children’s Fall Festival featuring a Trunk or Treat will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at New Hope United Methodist Church, 3609 Highway 158 in Roanoke Rapids. There will be lots of fun and fellowship, games, prizes, hot dogs, drinks and candy. Children are encouraged to wear costumes.

Rosemary United Methodist trunk or treat

ROANOKE RAPIDS — A Trunk or Treat celebration will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Rosemary United Methodist Church parking lot, 900 Jackson St. in Roanoke Rapids. There will be hot dogs, soft drinks and candy. Games with prizes will be led by the United Methodist Youth Fellowship. All children are invited to wear costumes. Halloween event at The Daily Herald

The Daily Herald, 916 Roanoke Ave. in Roanoke Rapids, will open its doors to the public for a free trick-or-treating event from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. There will be treats, decorations and Les Atkins will take photos for a very special costume section of the newspaper. Bring your kids down for clean fun and get their picture taken. Atkins will also have photo packages available.

GARYSBURG — The town of Garysburg will allow trick-or-treating from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Bakery and Simply Divine Cakes Halloween fun

The Bakery and Simply Divine Cakes, 1032 Roanoke Ave. in Roanoke Rapids, will celebrate Halloween from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. There will be free mini cupcakes for all kids dressed up ages 1 to 13. There will also be a best costume contest, and the winner will receive six cup cakes.

Littleton trick or treating hours announced

LITTLETON — Halloween will be celebrated from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Littleton. Littleton Police Chief Mike Suggs asks parents to accompany all children. It is recommended trick-or-treaters do not carry book bags, rotten eggs or rotten potatoes.

A harvest festival will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Harvest Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2357 West 10th St. in Roanoke Rapids. ENFIELD — The Enfield Police Department will sponsor its third annual Trunk of Treats Extravaganza from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The City of Roanoke Rapids will observe Halloween for trick or treating from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Interim Police Chief Jeff Hinton asks all residents to be aware of the presence of children from dusk past dark and to be careful when driving through neighborhoods.

Fall Harvest Festival at Ashley’s Grove
