The Roanoke Rapids Theatre to host ‘Big Brother' casting call

Roanoke RAPIDS - The Roanoke Rapids Theatre will host auditions for the CBS hit reality show “Big Brother” on Saturday, March 29.

Local CBS affiliate WNCT Eyewitness News 9 in Greenville will be sending a crew to include a videographer and producers to audition and videotape contestants for consideration.

“We're very excited to be partnering with The Roanoke Rapids Theatre for the casting of ‘Big Brother,'” said Vickie Jones, general manager and vice president of WNCT-TV. “We feel that this is a great opportunity for the community, the theater and for us to connect with our wonderful viewers in the Roanoke Rapids area.”

Now in its ninth season, “Big Brother” follows a group of strangers living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day, seven days a week. One by one, the house guests vote each other out of the house until at the end of three months, the last remaining house guest wins the grand prize of $500,000.

The casting call will take place from 1-4 p.m., in the theater lobby, for those 21 years or older. A complete list of the show's rules and regulations are available at www.cbs.com.
