ROANOKE RAPIDS —  Mrs. Lola Peede Johnson, 82, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Guardian Care in Rocky Mount.

Mrs. Johnson was born July 28, 1926, in Henderson, the daughter of the late Daniel W. Peede and Julia Frances Flowers Peede. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Johnson. She retired on Aug. 1, 1991, from RBC Centura Bank, formerly Planters National Bank, in Roanoke Rapids. She was a member of Roanoke Rapids Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sister, Bobbie Lou Peede Shearin and her husband, Pete, of Roanoke Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 24, at Massey Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids, which is handling the arrangements. Services will follow at 11 a.m., with Minister William Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
