May 23 wedding planned

Timothy and Emily Jones of Freeman, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Victoria Jones of Freeman, to Michael Casey Short of Roanoke Rapids. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Jane Stafford of Raleigh and the late Eugene Reid and Thomas and Jean Jones of Garysburg.

Her fiancé is the son of Chris and Lynn Short of Kings Mountain. He is the grandson of Tommy and Joyce Wyte and the late Loyd and Sherry Short, all of Kings Mountain.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on May 23.
