Mrs. Linda Plyler Gilliam

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Mrs. Linda Plyler Gilliam, 62, of Virginia Beach, Va., and formerly of Roanoke Rapids died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at Sentara Bayside Hospital.

Mrs. Gilliam was born, May 3, 1946 in Roanoke Rapids, the daughter of the late William Luther Plyler and Azliee M. Plyler.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Prusia of Virginia Beach, Va.; her sisters, Una Tidwell of Severn, Va., Wanda Taylor and her husband Alvin of Littleton and Joyce Crutchfield of Roanoke Rapids; her brother, William Edward Plyler also of Roanoke Rapids; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild and four nephews.

Graveside services will be held, Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at 3 p.m, at Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon, with Rev. Dennis Gregory officiating.

The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids, Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., prior to services.
