Garysburg Elementary has Healthy Smiles visits

Garysburg Elementary School students gear up to participate in Healthy Smiles, scheduled during the month of December.  Melinda Flythe, RN, coordinates the program at GES through the Halifax Community College Dental Hygiene program. HCC, along with the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, have developed the Healthy Smiles program to provide children with free preventive dental health care. Each Tuesday during the month of December, students with parental consent will be transported to the Dental Hygiene Clinic at HCC for free preventive dental health care from D.J. Markham, RDH, HCC Dental Hygiene Department head and staff.
