James “Jamey” Thomas Britton graduated Dec. 20 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. He is a 2002 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School and the son of Jodie and Tommy Britton of Roanoke Rapids. He is the grandson of Lucille Britton and the late George Thomas Britton of Lewiston, and Margaret Landis and the late James Vernon Landis of Rocky Mount.
