The bridegroom is the son of Cindy Green of Roanoke Rapids and Tony Green of Durham. He is the grandson of Rufus and Mary Rose and the late Gloria Rose of Roanoke Rapids and Joyce Page and the late Norman Green of Durham.
The Rev. Jerryl Moody performed the nuptial ceremony.
A program of music was provided by Chris and Tammy Ferrell of Eastern Entertainment and Travis Wilson.
The ceremony concluded with a live butterfly release by the wedding party and the mothers of the bridal couple.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an Alfred Angelo designer strapless white satin gown featuring re-embroidered lace, crystal beading, sequins and a semi-cathedral train. The waistline and train were accented in tea rose satin.
For her headpiece, the bride chose a headband of rhinestones with a fingertip-length veil accented with a crystal beaded edge. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and pink roses featuring the Bible given to her by her Aunt Angie on the day she was born. The bouquet was designed by the bride’s mother and her aunt, Angela Cox.
Michaela Cox of Roanoke Rapids, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Shareen Ferrell of Roanoke Rapids, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen DeBerry of Roanoke Rapids, Ashton Thomason of Greenville and Jessie Johnson of Henderson, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Kaitlyn Green, daughter of the bridegroom, and Kamryn Cox and Kelsey Cox, cousins of the bride, all of Roanoke Rapids.
Serving as flower girl was Gracyn Thomason-Green of Greenville, niece of the bridegroom. Jesse Butler of Gaston, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Michael Green of Greenville, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were David Ferrell, friend of the bridegroom, Thomas Sutherland, uncle of the bridegroom, and David Matthews, friend of the bridegroom, all of Roanoke Rapids.
Angela Cox of Roanoke Rapids, aunt of the bride, served as mistress of ceremonies.
A poolside reception was held at the home of Douglas and Martha Seymour, uncle and aunt of the bride, and featured a three-tiered pool fountain. Food was prepared by the mother of the bride, her aunt, Angela Cox, and other family members. Special thanks to friends Kelly Rook, coordinator, and hostesses Kris Stanfield, Carol Daugherty, Nancy Landen, Donna Grimes and Wanda Saylor. The five-tier cupcake tree was prepared by the bride’s mother and designed in pink, black and white by the bride’s mother and aunt, Angela Cox. Mirrored monogram initials of the bride and bridegroom adorned the single top layer. Guests enjoyed a fountain of pink chocolate and a candy buffet featuring pink, black and white candies. Candles were lit in memory of maternal grandmothers of the bridal couple. The reception included a celebration of the bride’s 21st birthday. Music and entertainment were provided by Chris and Tammy Ferrell and Travis Wilson. The decorations for the wedding and the reception were created by Virginia Gupton and Robin Clay.
An after-rehearsal dinner was provided by the bride’s family at the home of Douglas and Martha Seymour, uncle and aunt of the bride.

A lingerie shower was hosted by and held at the home of Shareen Ferrell on March 29.
A bridal shower was held on April 26 at First Christian Church and hosted by the Women of Friendship Sunday School Class.
A recipe bridal brunch was held on May 3 at the home of Yvonne and Joe Coyne, the bride’s great-aunt and uncle, and hosted by Angela Cox, aunt of the bride, and Michaela Cox, cousin of the bride.
A gift card shower was held on May 10 at the home of Penny Stokes, aunt of the bridegroom, and hosted by Penny Stokes and Mary Rose, grandmother of the bridegroom.
