PINK HILL —  Lucille Rouse Turner, 76, died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Sunbridge Care and Rehab of Mount Olive.

She was born and raised in the Liddell section of Lenoir County.  She was preceded in death by her parents Julius E. Rouse and Irma M. Rouse.  She was a member of Daly's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Seven Springs.

She is survived by her husband, Lester Turner of Pink Hill, two daughters Cathy Duff Kennedy and husband, Wayne of Pink Hill, Denise Duff and friend, Jenny Kane of Manchester, N.H.; two sons, Eddie Duff and wife, Doris of Roanoke Rapids, David Duff and wife, Debra of Seven Springs, three stepsons Jerle Turner and wife, Gwen of Albertson, Johnny Turner and wife, Sena of Gainsville, Ga., Garry Turner and wife, Jeannie of Pink Hill; stepdaughter Debra Stilley of Kinston; sister Sylvia R. Barwick of Seven Springs; special niece Christie Smith of Seven Springs; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven step grandchildren’ and eight step great-grandchildren; and two great nephews.

A visitation will be held from 7 until 9 p.m., today, March 17,  at Pink Hill Funeral Home, in Pink Hill, which is handling the arrangements.

 Funeral services will be at 3  p.m., Wednesday, March 17, from the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Pink Hill.
