New provider joins team at Halifax Works

ROANOKE RAPIDS  — Cassandra Owens, PA has joined the staff at Halifax Works, the occupational health clinic of Halifax Regional.

Owens earned a Bachelors of Arts in Human Biology from the University of Kansas. She graduated from Marietta College in Ohio with a Masters of Science in Physician Assistance Studies. 

Owens will work with patients at Halifax Works who have been injured while performing job duties. She will also conduct physical exams required by employers before an employee is able to begin work, or perform sensitive job duties.

“I enjoy the challenges that occupational health provides,” said Owens. “I plan to work with our clients to maintain the health and wellness of their employees and educate patients on the importance of safety in the workplace.”

Halifax Works opened in 2000 and serves the occupational health needs of the business community. Services include healthcare treatment for on the job injuries, the substance abuse testing, physicals, vaccinations and customized health examinations to meet the needs of most any industry.
