The bridegroom is the son of Greg Moore of Roanoke Rapids and Kay Moyers of Midland, Mich. He is the grandson of Brenda Lynch of Nashville and Gene and Carol Moore of Roanoke Rapids.
The Rev. John B. Alford performed the nuptial ceremony.
A program of wedding music was provided by Kimberly Stewart of Louisburg, soloist and pianist, who sang “How Beautiful,” Tim Wilson, pianist and brother of the bride, who played “Last Date,” and Tyler Wilson, pianist and brother of the bride, who played “I Will Always Love You.”
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Maggie Sottero Symphony Royal white and pewter A-line one piece gown. The dress featured a corset back gown made from French taffeta. Soft gathers were symmetrically placed at the waist and runched into the side seam. The asymmetrical overskirt was accented with the placement of three handmade taffeta rosettes. The rosettes were set off with embroidery, which also ornamented the bodice and waistline.
For her headpiece, the bride chose a single layer fingertip-length veil from Silk Lace Veils. The veil featured a beautiful scalloped edging adorned with bugle beads and metallic embroidery. The veil also consisted of alternating patterns of lace, crystals, metallic embroidery, pearls and rhinestones to compliment the wedding gown.
She carried pink and white roses tied at the stems with pink satin ribbon and pearl pins. The church flowers were white long-stemmed roses in vases with a spray on the candelabra featuring lilies, white roses and babies breath. Flowers were provided by Kathy Crenshaw, aunt of the bride.
Blair Strickland of Roanoke Rapids, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Wilson of Greensboro and Amanda Wilson of Oklahoma, cousins of the bride, and Laura Ellis and Jessica Bailey, both of Roanoke Rapids and friends of the bride.
Kenley Moore of Margarettsville, cousin of the bridegroom, and Katie Moyers of Midland, sister of the bridegroom, served as flower girls. Ring bearer was Cameron Wilson of Roanoke Rapids, nephew of the bride.
Greg Moore served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Council, Gregory Council and Steven Ellis, all friends of the bridegroom, and Tyler Wilson, brother of the bride, all of Roanoke Rapids.
Shelia Wilson of Roanoke Rapids, aunt of the bride, served as mistress of ceremonies. Program attendants were Atalee and Emily Moore and guest book attendant was Wyatt Moore, all cousins of the bridegroom.
The bride is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy. She works as a licensed certified recreational therapist at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.
The bridegroom graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 2003. He is self-employed as an auto transporter for Moore’s Transport.
The couple honeymooned at Gatlinburg, Tenn., and now reside in Seaboard.
A reception given by the bride’s parents was held at Gaston Point Conference Center on Lake Gaston, Littleton. It was a sit-down dinner of barbecue cooked by David Tripp and Kaye Tripp, cousins of the bride. The wedding cake was a three-layer yellow cake with white icing and pearl looking buttons adorned with hot pink lady roses and miniature pink roses made by Jean Ellis and Debbie Floyd, friends of the bride and bridegroom. Ashley Wilson, brother of the bride, played and dedicated a song to the bridal couple.
An after-rehearsal dinner was given by Gene and Carol Moore, grandparents of the bridegroom, at Enterprise Baptist Church and was catered by Robert Harris of Littleton.
A Tupperware shower was given by Blair and Penny Strickland.
Laura Ellis hosted a Christmas shower at her home.
A lawn and garden shower was given by Neal and Barbara Moore, Mike and Robin Moore and Rex and Terry Stainback, all aunts and uncles of the bridegroom, at the home of Neal and Barbara Moore.
A miscellaneous shower was held at Enterprise Baptist Church and given by Beverly Allen, Cindy Salmon, Sarah Little, Betty Walker and Barbara Aycock.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids hosted a bachelorette weekend at Myrtle Beach, S.C.
