Edward Dennis Tuck Sr.

GLEN ALLEN, Va. — Mr. Edward Dennis Tuck Sr., 75, of Glen Allen Va., a long-time resident of Warsaw, Va., and Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, peacefully in his home in Glen Allen.

He was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned Tuck and Pattie Tuck; his wife, Carolyn Jean Tuck; and his sister, Doris Goodwin.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Tuck Jr. (Beverly) of Mechanicsville, Va., and Johnny Tuck (Judy) of Ashland, Va.; one daughter, Tammy Alexander (Robb) of Mechanicsville; his grandchildren, Kevin and Brandon Tuck, Brittany and Jamie Tuck; and a sister, Carol Davis of Highland Springs, Va.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, June 21, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service in Roanoke Rapids, which is handling the arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 22, in the chapel of the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God, P.O. Box 343, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 or East Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 454, Mechanicsville VA 23111.
