is majoring in elementary education with a concentration in
mathematics. She is the daughter of David and Nina Swink.
Credle graduates from North Carolina Central
Katresse L. Credle, daughter of Hugh and Carolyn Credle, recently
graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina Central University in
Durham, with a Master’s in Special Education, Learning Disability. She
resides in Raleigh, where she is employed in the Wake County School
System.
Taylor recognized for achievement
The United States Achievement Academy announced that Austin David
Taylor from Roanoke Rapids has been recognized for academic
achievement as a United States National Honor Student Award winner.
Taylor, who attends Chaloner Middle School, will appear in the United
States Achievement Academy’s Official yearbook which is published
nationally.
The USAA National Honor Student Awards provide honor students with many
benefits and services and is a great tribute to a student’s dedication,
talent and ability.
Taylor is the son of Astor and Crystal Adams of Roanoke Rapids and the
grandson of Barbara S. Crumpler of Roanoke Rapids. He is the
great-nephew of Jesse and Evelyn Spence of Roanoke Rapids.
Butler makes chancellor’s list
Mallorie Blair Butler, a rising senior at Appalachian State University,
has been placed on the chancellor’s list for the spring semester 2009,
with a grade point average of 4.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Butler is a mathmetics/secondary educational major and will intern at
Leesville Road High School in Raleigh for the fall semester.
