“Juice,” as he was affectionately called, was very humorous, outgoing and loving. He was a man of many dimensions who leaned and depended on God for everything in life. His beautiful soul, sweet spirit and friendly temperament kept everyone surrounded by laughter and light heartedness. He always offered kind words of wisdom to anyone who needed encouragement. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by everyone whose life he touched in so many special ways.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Henry “Toot” Fleming Jr.
Treasured memories of his life will remain in the hearts of his loving companion of more than 18 years, Lucy, of the home; his two sons, Markie Mangum of New Jersey and Trey Banks of Oxford; one sister, Ethelinda A. Fleming of Roanoke Rapids; one brother, Don Fleming (Lucy) of Roanoke Rapids; three aunts, Bessie Sykes of Roanoke Rapids, Jenny Melton of Richmond, Va., and Lena Mae Fleming of Littleton; one uncle, Robert Fleming (Dorothy) of Roanoke Rapids; two nieces, Audria Fleming of Raleigh and Keronda Moody of Roanoke Rapids; two nephews, Lacal Squire of Gaston and Sergio Moody of Roanoke Rapids; a host of cousins, other relatives, and many, many dear close friends. He is now safe in the arms of Jesus and at home with his loving parents and dear brother.
The body will repose from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 27, at Shepard Middle School, 2401 Dakota Street, Durham, where a memorial service will begin at 3 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, June 28, at Robinson Funeral Home in Littleton, which is handling the arrangements, with the Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Littleton.
