Eason graduates U.S. Naval Academy

U.S. Navy Ensign Michael McCrae Eason graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., on May 22 and was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy.

He successfully completed four years of intensive academic, physical and professional training, resulting in a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

While at the Naval Academy, Eason maintained an overall 3.61 grade point average and graduated in the upper 12 percent of his class. He served as executive officer and as commanding officer of his company during his senior year. Eason also was granted membership in the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society.

A graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School of 2004, Eason is the son of Rick and Judy Eason. He has been assigned to Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. as a student Naval aviator.
