FT. WASHINGTON, Md. —  Affie Marriner Gray passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, as a result of complications from cancer.

Formerly of North Carolina and long-time resident of Ft. Washington, Md., Mrs. Gray was a devoted wife and mother.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Donald Gray. 

She is survived by three loving daughters, Aimee Gray, Maureen Gray and Lisa Hope Zelaya; one sister, Loray Bradley; two grandchildren; and many cherished family members and friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 2, at Rosemary Baptist Church, 936 Jackson St., Roanoke Rapids. Internment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

Cunningham Funeral Home in Alexandria, Va., is handling the arrangements.
