Paternal grandparents are Lan and Larry Verhosek of North Charleston, S.C.

She is the granddaughter of Betty Lee of Emporia, Va., and the late Dr. Kenneth French and Kay Schilling of Iowa. She is the great-granddaughter of Pern French of Nashua, Iowa. She also has three brothers, Marvin Jr., Malik and Elijah.

Nakeia Clark and Javarrae Rook of Gaston announce the birth of a son, JaQuayvion KeNyus Clark, on June 19, 2009, at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids. He weighed 6 lbs. 8 ozs.
