Anita and Reginald Hockaday were married on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009.

A reception honoring the couple was held on May 2, 2009, at the Kirkwood Adams Community Center in Roanoke Rapids, with more than 200 guests attending.

Anita is the daughter of Lillian Green of Roanoke Rapids and the late Howard Jenkins of Weldon.

Reginald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Pierce of Roanoke Rapids.

Sharon Banks, sister of the bride, was mistress of ceremonies.

Serving as hostesses were Mrs. Daisy Lowery of Ft. Washington, Md., Mrs. Terrie Hicks of Roanoke Rapids, Miss Sherri Jenkins of Raleigh, Mrs. Marie Carter of Silver Spring, Md., Mrs. Phyllis Bynum and Miss Whitney Perry of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Mertice Smith of Garysburg and Miss Lavita Johnson of Clarksburg, Md.

Anita and Reginald would like to thank all of their family and friends who attended their reception and helped make their day special.
