Good job

Congratulations Superintendent Dennis Sawyer and the Roanoke Rapids Schools District board for a job well done in maintaining the fund balance … you still do good with our money.

More praise

Thank you Roanoke Rapids school board for a good job with the fund balance and budget.

If bitten, sue

If I were the person bitten by a dog in Emry Park, I would sue the city. There is a sign that clearly says no dogs on the trail.

Bad approach

The man should be ashamed for displaying our state flag upside down in an attempt to protest a grievance with the state of North Carolina. When you have a problem with public officials, you don’t need to disrespect the state flag to make your point.

Think before you speak

I believe discretion should be used in whom you confide in since everyone else is crazy but you … To malign persons you don’t like you should be intelligent enough to choose some one you know.

" To "if bitten, sue" it is not the responsibility of the city to care for the victim. This city clearly has law about dogs running freely. I am a dog owner & I know what my responsibility is as one. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT YOU DO NOT LET YOUR DOGS RUN FREE. It is my understanding that this is NOT the first ocassion that this dog has bitten someone. The owner knew this was a dangerous dog and should be punished & held liable for any damages and all medical care that the victim has. God bless the family of Angela Allen, we are praying for you all.
Also, I think the police and the city of Roanoke Rapids acted quickly and properly to the situation. They should be commended for their actions. The dog should be put down and the fee should be HIGHER! "
