Kentwan Balmer, right, made an appearance at his alma mater Wednesday afternoon when Weldon hosted the seven-on-seven passing league games. Balmer, who stared at Weldon High School before heading to the University of North Carolina, was the No.1 draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2008. Seen here talking to players from Roanoke Rapids David Richardson (19), A.J. Alston (84) and Shanquel Watson (42), Balmer worked his way around the field talking to friends and various players from different schools.
