U10 boys head to Manteo by Anthony Gainey, Daily Herald Sports WriterROANOKE RAPIDS — Roanoke Rapids U10 Head coach Earl Wheeler got right to the point when asked about his team as they head to the district tournament “These are the hardest working 10-year-olds I have seen in a while,” the coach pointed out. “Their work ethic is unbelievable. These guys have worked six days a week, for three straight weeks in preparation for the upcoming tournament.” Today, Wheeler will take a squad of 14 players to Manteo. Five players are returning to the all-star cast. Roanoke Rapids will face Currituck at 7:30 tonight, the plan is to win, if they win game one then they won’t play again until Friday. If they lose, then they play again Thursday. |
