Vandals strike Valley

ROANOKE RAPIDS — Vandals used spray paint in three incidents in Old Farm Road area of the city, according to police. The graffiti attacks were discovered yesterday morning.

At 220 Old Farm Road, the letters GS along with the words gun smoke were found written in black spray paint on a brick wall, Chief Jeff Hinton said.

At 216 Old Farm Road, the letters GS were found written in black spray paint on the side of a recreational vehicle.

At 101 Deerfield Place, the letters GS were found written in black spray paint on a carport.

Police are investigating to determine who did the painting and  whether it is gang related.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Roanoke Rapids Police Department at 533-2810 or Halifax County Crimestoppers at 583-4444.

    " Well, this is interesting. i wonder why no coverage was given to all of the racist graffiti covering the building on 10th street accross from the hardees. Maybe if that was a nice neighborhood like Old Farm, it would be news... "
