Even though, this particular group hasn’t played as a team in the youth league since they were 13, they have played travel ball together since they were 11-years-old.

Travel ball has been used as a tool to prepare for the upcoming task.

“We have been fairly successful in travel ball with placing second and third against some top notch teams,” says Lockamon.

The All-Stars have several weapons in their arsenal, such solid bats at the plate“ This is the first year tha I can pull of off the bench and hit we are just that solid with the bats.

Having a bull pen that is about nine deep is a luxury some teams do not have. “ We don’t have to worry about pitching much with having so many who can throw, We reallly don’t have someone who can throw a 90 mile an hour fast ball.  What we do have guys who can get it across the plate.”

“I am very pleased with the focus and effort the guys have put into practice, I think they realize what is at stake with this being the last time for most of the team to play in this league. They realize the potential of doing something special in their last tournament.”

The team will play the winner of the Dare County Elci Paca game.
