After the group gave the Pledge of Allegiance, the opening song was “Victory In Jesus,” then followed with the group’s theme song “Oh How He Loves You and Me.”  Bobby Bright and John Riddle found the dollar in the hymnal. Devotion, Friedns Again with God, was given by Bright. The poem, “An Irish Blessing,” was read by John Riddle.

Happy birthday wishes went out to Harry Bright, Cecil Barnett, Evelyn Hunnicut and Helen Watson, with the oldest member in the Progressive club being Lavelle Gray.  Tarbox read sayings brought in by Ann Johnson.

Evelyn Givens read the minutes, the registration gift was won by Bill Cox, Tarbox read information from the internet and Kelly Manning presented announcements. The following announcements were made: Cards need to be handed in by July 16 for the walking program, shopping trip to Richmond on July 23, game time on July 24, for Fridays in the Park, jazz on Aug.13, birthday lunch is set for Sept. 10, NCASCC district picnic on Sept. 17, game time at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 20, State Fair for Nov. 4-6, and NCASCC State conference.

Norman Gossett read a short story.

Mail was distributed and collection taken and the final song was “Amazing Grace.”

The Progressive Seniors meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
