Dew Point Rising released their first CD of original songs in June, and it has been well received. Other than three cover songs, the tunes were written by the Dew Point Rising team. Several of these songs pay tribute to eastern North Carolina and will be presented at Lakeland.

Lead vocalist and fiddle player is Colgate Country Showdown winner for North and South Carolina, Sara Dew. Ronnie Waters from Tarboro has played with major performers and recording stars for more than 30 years and is lead guitarist. Bass guitarist Kevin Shaw is from Red Oak, while Parks and Karen Boyd of Scotland Neck add acoustic guitar, harmonica, tambourine and vocals to the mix. The keyboard player is Jimmy Barnhill of Greenville, and Curtis Bearden of Tarboro rounds out the group on drums.

This is a grand opportunity for everyone to see a country star on the rise. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
