Former Eastman School students meet with Eastman Kodak Company These members are part of the Committee To Save Education In Halifax County, along with several other people met with Scott Washington, of Eastman Kodak Company’s operations support technical support center, in their efforts to save the now closed Eastman School on June 29. Thomas Parrish brought much memorabilia denoting the success of graduates of the Eastman High School including a photo Valeria Lynch Lee, former president of the Golden Leaf Foundation (small picture in center of photograph). The Eastman chapter of the Committee To Save Education In Halifax County meets each Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the New Life Baptist Church, located at White Oak Cross Roads in Enfield, to seek ways to reopen the Eastman school for their children and as an asset to the community. The Brawley Chapter meets each Monday at 7 p.m. at the New Birth Tabernacle Church, 9th and Roanoke Streets in Scotland Neck. |
