ROANOKE RAPIDS — Dylan Cole Moore, 7, went to Heaven on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Fairview Children’s Hospital, University of Minnesota Medical Center, in Minneapolis.

Dylan was born Sept. 18, 2001, in Rocky Mount, to Betsy and Clyde ³Peanut² Moore. He was to enter the second grade at Halifax Academy this year.

Dylan touched so many lives, creating eternal friendships between the people there, throughout the United States and beyond.

Dylan leaves to behind to celebrate his life in addition to his parents a sister, Skyler Moore; a brother, Cody Moore; his aunts and uncles, Rhonda ³Sue² and Jay Lassiter of Roanoke Rapids, Jason and Julie Moore and Janet Balmer, all of Gaston, Jennifer Watson of Riverside, Calif., Stacy Moore of Alexandria, Va., Lenn Roberson of Enfield and Robbin Brewer of Ebony, Va.; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 2, at Wrenn, Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, which is handling the arrangements, and other times at 309 Huey St., Gaston.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 3, at The Roanoke Rapids Theatre, 500 Carolina Crossroads Parkway, Exit 171 from Interstate 95, in Roanoke Rapids, with the Rev. Steve Mullenix and the Rev. Larry Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gaston.

Donations in memory of Dylan may be made to Youth Memorial Park, Shiloh United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 267, Gaston NC 27832; Halifax Academy, 1400 Three Bridges Road, Roanoke Rapids NC 27870; or the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, 1801 Willamette St., Suite 200, Eugene OR 97401.

How lucky we are to have had someone that makes saying ³goodbye² so hard.
