During his early life, he professed faith in Christ, was baptized and began his spiritual journey at Odell Baptist Church in Littleton. He later changed his membership to Roanoke Chapel Baptist Church in Littleton, and remained faithful and dedicated until his death.
For 51 years, Milton enjoyed his passion for driving transfer trucks. Throughout his trucking career, he rendered loyal and devoted service to Hobbs, Clay and Cargo Care trucking services.
In 1953, he was united in holy matrimony to the former Alberta Faulcon, and this union was blessed with four children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, John Thomas Mills and John Willis Faulcon.
His spirit lives today and forever more in the hearts and minds of his wife, Alberta F. Solomon of the home; his children, the Rev. Milton Solomon Jr. (Daphne) of Littleton, Reginald Solomon (Ofelia) of Richmond, Va., Carmen Reed (Calvin) of Roanoke Rapids and Michael Solomon (Carma) of Harrisburg, Pa.; his grandchildren, Reille Solomon, Samantha Tamica Reed, Sammy Lee Reed Jr., Sherreka Turner, Reggie John Solomon, Renee Solomon and Mickayla Solomon; his great-grandchildren, Rain and Ryan Solomon; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Francis Mills, Eva Ravenell and Eugene Faulcon (Rosetta), all of Harrisburg, Viola “Bettie Ruth” Faulcon and Maude Faulcon of Littleton, Idell Brown of Georgia and James Willis Faulcon of Atlantic City, N.J.; three special cousins, Sabina Gould, Eva Johnson and Alice Lett; those he thought of as his own, Deacon Terry Williams (Angela), their children, Brittany and Ashley Williams, all of Littleton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss him greatly and always cherish precious times spent together.
The body will repose until 8:30 p.m., today, Aug. 6, at Robinson Funeral Home in Littleton, which is handling the arrangements.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 7, at Roanoke Chapel Baptist Church in Littleton, with the Rev. Timothy Edwards, pastor, delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Deacon Solomon to the Roanoke Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 307, Littleton NC 27850.
