Sept. 26 vows to be exchanged

Brent and Sandy Roberson of Roanoke Rapids announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Nicole Roberson of Rocky Mount, to John Jeffrey Peedin II of Wilson. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Benton and Jackie C. Roberson and the late Robert B. Roberson of Roanoke Rapids.

Her fiancé is the son of Garland and Marianne Smitherman of Wilson and Jeff and Pam Peedin of Littleton. He is the grandson of Mae W. Baker and the late S. Guy Baker of Rocky Point and Mary J. Peedin and the late Dr. James H. Peedin of Burgaw.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on Sept. 26.
