Guo recently completed a fellowship in nephrology at Georgetown University Hospital. He completed his residency at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston in 2007. His medical degree is from his native China.

He becomes the third physician at Valley Hypertension-Nephrology, where he practices with Danilo Bernardo, MD, and Lorenzo Santarina, MD.

Guo is board certified in internal medicine. “I want to use my medical knowledge and experience to treat patients who are in need of hypertension and kidney disease treatment,” he said.

In explaining his move to Roanoke Rapids, he said he wanted to live in a small town after living in two large metropolitan areas. “I prefer a quiet and less crowded community to raise my family,” he said.

He and his wife, Ning, a former accountant, have two children, Grace and Maxwell. Guo enjoys golf, swimming, music and traveling.

For an appointment with Guo, call Valley Hypertension-Nephrology Associates at 252-535-2111. The office is located at 937 Gregory Drive in Roanoke Rapids.
