William Jones Sr. ENFIELD — Mr. William Jones Sr. departed his earthly life at 3:46 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Durham VA Medical Center. William was born Aug. 18, 1947, in Enfield, to the late Preston and Mary Ellen Jones. William attended the public schools of Halifax County and graduated from Inborden High School. After completing his education, William enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country honorably for seven years, even serving in Vietnam.
