Miss Davis becomes the bride of Robert Alan Satterfield on July 18

 Allison Jeanette Davis and Robert Alan Satterfield exchanged wedding vows during a 3 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Duck United Methodist Church in Duck.

The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Michelle Davis of Kitty Hawk and Ken and Terry Brown of Conway. She is the granddaughter of Gail Manning of Washington, N.C., Robert Ray and Denise Allen of Conway, Frazier and Thelma Helms of Rich Square, Kenneth and Julia Brown of Colerain and the late J.C. and Ola Davis of Conway.

The bridegroom is the son of Reid and Joyce Satterfield of Roxboro. He is the grandson of Mary Frances Satterfield and the late Curtis Satterfield and Margie Clayton and the late Algie Clayton, all of Roxboro.

Pastor Ray Wittman performed the double-ring ceremony.

A program of wedding music was provided by musicians Bill and Becki Rea.

Given in marriage by her father, Johnny Davis, the bride wore an ivory beaded lace mermaid shaped gown featuring a scalloped sweetheart neckline and a chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, the bride chose an ivory cathedral-length veil. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and blue hydrangeas.

Stacey Davis of Roxboro served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Curtis of Raleigh, Aimee Koch of Durham, Terri Martin of Roanoke Rapids, Megan McLester of Raleigh, Jenni Puryear of Roxboro, Marlo Ricks of Conway, Allison Strickland of Charlotte, Heather Younts of Garner and Melody Zanation of Cary. Honorary bridesmaids were Shelly Hatcher of Conway, Leigh Mann of Pendleton and Jessica Manning of Washington, N.C.

The attendants wore knee-length strapless sateen canary yellow dresses and carried blue hydrangea bouquets.

 Reid Satterfield of Roxboro served as best man. Groomsmen were Dwight Ashley of Clayton, Roy Carver, Andrew Clayton, Stephen Clayton, Kelly Davis, Adam Irby, Codie Kendrick, Ashley Shull and Blake Wilborn, all of Roxboro. Ushers were Colby Brown of Conway, Jarrett Davis of Kitty Hawk, Justin Henderson of Roxboro and Jake Tucker of Wilmington.

Gail Wade of Conway served as mistress of ceremonies.

The bride is a graduate of Northampton County High School-East and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is the owner of Sandfoot Photography.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Person High School. He is employed with Progress Energy in Roxboro.

The couple will reside in Roxboro.

A reception was held following the ceremony at Duck Woods Country Club.
