ENFIELD — Mr. Cecil Wayne Smith, 72, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009.

Mr. Smith is survived by his sister, Virginia Blackman of Whitakers; a sister-in-law, Annie Ruth Smith, and a brother-in-law, Charles Rives, both of Enfield; his nieces and nephews, Janet and Gerald Wells and Andy Bone, all of Whitakers, Brent Smith, Mike and Kay Smith, Jimmy and Marie Rives and Donna and Ed Gupton, all of Enfield, Hank and Mary Smith of Rocky Mount and Linda and Judge Holdford of Halifax; and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., today, Oct. 21, at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck, which is handling the arrangements.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, at Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield.
