Parking on Barrett Street

There are a lot of cars getting hit this year at school. There NEEDS to be someone making sure that people are not parking in the middle of the street, turning OFF their car, and walking up to get their child! This is crazy! This has been going on for a while. Yesterday I saw this happen, and the person walked right past the teacher  standing at the fence and NOTHING was said that I could see! It is not safe for parents or kids to have 3 rows of cars, with people walking. ALSO, I SO wish the police would just go down Barrett street and they would find the SAME car parked everyday in a NO PARKING spot! EVERYDAY! It is the space just before you turn into the office parking lot. I think if a big emergency truck had to get in there she would be in the way! Please start parking where you should for the safety of us all.

" I am so glad to see others have noticed the same parking nightmare on Barrett Street that I have! I agree that the Police should sit there and watch the wrong way drivers come down that one way street, only to BACK into a spot on the left side! It is so dangerous! Everyday between 2:20 & 3:00! "

" I couldnt agree with those parents more. My children used to go to Manning and the parents used to park in the middle of the road then. I agree with the police being there. It seem like every time they were there, parents would not do that. These teachers are trying to watch your children so that they will not get hurt. The chief of police needs to send one of his men down there so that these parents that think they can do anything and get away with it, STOPPED!!!It's who you think you are. "

" I agree that people appear to have very little if any respect for others when it comes to parking picking up/dropping off students at Manning on Barrett Street. I bet the staff doesn't say anything to parents who park haphazardly because the staff would probably become victims of assault if they tried to correct parents who act that way and the staff does not get paid enough to risk injury.
