JACKSON — Mrs. Vivian Cone Vaughan, 72, of Jackson, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at Pine Forest Rest Home in Potecasi.

Mrs. Vaughan was born July 24, 1937, in Franklin County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Vaughan; and a son, Cecil Vaughan Jr., who passed away on March 3, 2008.

Mrs. Vaughan is survived by a son, Ronald Vaughan of Jackson; three sisters, Edith Lassiter of Rich Square, Carol Vaughan of Windsor and Pansy Sonja of Louisburg; and a brother, Jimmy cone of Pilot.

Cecil is survived by his son, Justin Andrew Vaughan; and a brother, Ronald Vaughan of Jackson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, which is handling the arrangements.

 A joint funeral service will be held for Mrs. Vaughan and her son, Cecil, at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Drew officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery.
