ROCKY MOUNT — Mrs. Allene Aycock Lucas Hux, 77, of Rocky Mount, and formerly of Enfield died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Nash General Hospital.

Mrs. Hux was retired from CSX Railroad and a retired insurance agent in Enfield for many years. She worked with Charlotte Liberty Mutual and Western and Southern Insurance Companies.

Mrs. Hux was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommie Horace Lucas, and her second husband, Willie Alexander Hux.

Survivors include her children, Ann Joyner of Rocky Mount, Faye Reason Soth of Maryland and Johnnie Ray Lucas of Roanoke Rapids; seven brothers and sisters, Jack Aycock, Dan Aycock, David Aycock, Tommy Aycock, Emily Bass, Jane Dennis and Suzanne Bunish; seven grandchildren, Denise Rodenkirchen, Ginger Joyner, Elizabeth Joyner, Timothy Joyner, Alex Reason, Johnathan Vance Lucas and Melissa Nager; and eleven great-grandchildren, Klaus Rodenkirchen, Patience Rodenkirchen, Raynor Rodenkirchen, Leighann Kennedy, Kelsey Warrick, Chelsea Reason, Shyann Reason, Ashley McCoy, Ashwin Nager, Vajay Nager and Sanjay Nager.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Massey Funeral Home in Enfield, which is handling the arrangements. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Research and Treatment.
