With all the hard work and sweat the Roanoke Rapids Hs Football team has put in since July, why can't the people of this community come and cheer them on Friday nights. It looks like your so used to losing you treat Friday nights as a night to socialize and sit mute while our boys are busting their tails for you on the field. What these young men endure just to get to play on friday should make you want to cheer them on . GET VOCAL cheer them on into the playoffs. Great win Jackets, great job with your program coach.

" I agree that the RRHS football team has done an excellent job this year and that each and every player works hard, not just during the game but also at practice. I would also like to see more people come out to support them but would also like for the residents here in Roanoke Rapids to know that the marching band and cheerleaders also work just as hard and that they too, have practice all week long. I think it is wrong that all the money taken in at the games and at the concession stand goes strictly to the athletic department at the High School, after all, the cheerleaders are there to root the football players on and if it were not for the marching band at half time, our football games would have total silence while our football players got time to rest up. If RRHS is to continue to be successful we have got to ALL start working together! "
