Benjamn ‘Benny’ Hudgins

ENFIELD — Mr. Benjamin “Benny” Hudgins, 85, of Enfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Hudgins was born Aug. 10, 1924, the son of the late Arthur Hudgins and Clara Smith Hudgins. He was a mechanic for many years and a dispatcher for the Enfield Police Department. He loved to farm and was a farmer for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie Jones Hudgins; his daughters, Donna Sue Hudgins and Bonnie Inscoe; his granddaughter, Jennifer Velasquez; and two sisters, Mary Keeter and Nellie Armstrong.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., today, Nov. 5, at Massey Funeral Home in Enfield, which is handling the arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, in the chapel of the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Robl III officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
