ROANOKE RAPIDS — Martin LaRosa Daniels, 54, of Roanoke Rapids, departed this life Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his daughter, LaRissa Daniels of North Wales, Pa.; his granddaughter, Genesis Daniels; his mother, Laura Powell Daniel of Washington, D.C.; his aunts, Molester D. Fleming of Roanoke Rapids, Melinda E. White of Chicago, and Lucille Daniels and Cellanous Powell, both of Roanoke Rapids; and his great-aunts, Virginia Jones, Senora Brown, Lillian Dowtin, Mildred Dowtin and Annie Dowtin, all of Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Shearin’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, with the Rev. Lynne J. Bradley officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. until funeral time at the church.

Interment will follow in the Daniel Cemetery on Huckleberry Bottom Road in Roanoke Rapids.

Cofield Mortuary in Weldon is handling the arrangements.
