ROANOKE RAPIDS — Eula Mae Stansbury, 73, of Roanoke Rapids, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by six children, Alice Stansbury of Kinston, Ella Newell of Halifax and Laverne Taylor (Thaddeous), William Stansbury, Doris Stansbury and Calvin Stansbury, all of Roanoke Rapids; 11 grandchildren, Kedrain Brown, William Stansbury, L’Erin Stansbury, Sha’Tara Purnell, Terronie Purnell Jr., KaShonda Purnell, Kristen Purnell, Willie Stansbury, Chelsea Johnson, Christopher Stansbury and Kenya Stansbury; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, in the memorial chapel of Cofield Mortuary in Weldon, which is handling the arrangements, with the Rev. Mark A. Barfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Stansbury Family Cemetery in Littleton.

The family will receive friends from noon until the funeral time at the chapel.
