SEABOARD — Mrs. Eloise Drewett Joyner passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2009.

A lifetime resident of Seaboard, she attended Seaboard Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.

Mrs. Joyner was born Dec. 3, 1926, the daughter of the late Walter Jackson Drewett and Mary Johnson Drewett, and was raised in Northampton County.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Jasper William Joyner; her two daughters, Anne Beale and her husband, Mack, of Greenville and Nancy Wade and her husband, Ronnie, of Dunn; three grandchildren, Dean Wade and his wife, Jill, of Dunn, Megan Beale Wamer and her husband, Timmy, of Winterville, and James Beale and his wife, Mandria, of Greenville; five great-grandchildren, Kealey and Ashtyn Wade, Joel and Conner Wamer and Isabella Beale; and her sisters, Christine Whitehead of Emporia, Va., and Ellen Whitley of Potecasi.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, which is handling the arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 16, at Seaboard Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Gaskins, the Rev. Steve Trussell and the Rev. Joshua Blythe officiating.  Burial will follow in Seaboard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seaboard Baptist Church.
