That Time Of Year Again

Anyone that enjoys nature trails or fishing know what to expect and are already experiencing it. Certain people are giving responsible hunters a bad name. They are killing deer, cutting the horns off, and removing the tenderloin. The deer are then thrown anywhere it is convenient for these people to get rid of it. I have a suggestion for these people, dress the deer out and give it to the Union Mission to help feed the hungry and poor. There are plenty of people that would be glad to have the meat. If they would let it be known they have free venison I am sure there would be plenty willing to cook and eat it. I have a lot of respect for the hunters that are responsible and dress their kill and freeze it to eat rather than leaving it for the buzzards. The irresponsible hunters should hang their heads in shame. Waste not, want not.

" These so called hunters are mostly rear end warmers since they sit on their rear ends in their trucks and wait for the dogs with tracking collars to run a deer by them. Some are called the bait and wait hunters, they also do not hunt. There are also a lot of "real" hunters in this area who actually hunt, kill, and prepare the meat and eat it without the help of dogs, radios, spotlights, or deer corn. I agree with the comment that they should wear yellow feathers. These type of things would not be tolerated in the state I am from. Thank you very much for allowing me to voice my opinion. "

" I think these people that waste a deer are not even hunters. more like poachers as their deeds are done in secret. theyt are selfish not to ask someone if they would like to have the parts that are left. a zoo that feeds lions or tigers would probably make a trip to pick up unwanted carcasses. laziness is the core of this type of poacher. they could freeze what they don't want and even offer to donate it to a animal shelter that is in need. instead of wearing camaflouge they should wear yellow feathers. if you don't plan to eat it don't kill it. dead animals can spread disease and those dumping them should be held accountable. I have choice words for these slackers but due to the Herald's rules of decency I'm forbidden to write them. thank you DH for allowing me to post this much. "
