PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Mont N. Richardson, 78, of Chowan Drive, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center.

A native of Littleton, he was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Army after 38 years. He served in the Korean, Vietnam and Desert Storm wars. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beatriz “Betty” Richardson; two sisters, Alice Harris (Mason) and Joyce Daughtry (George), all of Portsmouth; and two brothers, Ruben Richardson (Mable) of New Jersey and William Richardson (Betty) of Littleton.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 23, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Robinson Funeral Home in Littleton, which is handling the arrangements, with the Rev. Gene V. Primm officiating. Burial will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
