Dunlevy-Bluey exchange wedding vows on Sept. 5

On Sept. 5, 2009, the marriage of Judson Bryce Dunlevy and Caitlin Nel Bluey was solemnized in the War Memorial Chapel, on the campus of Virginia Tech, located in Blacksburg, Va.

Jud is the son of Keith and Denise Rupe Dunlevy of Roanoke Rapids. Caitlin is the daughter of David and Veronica Nelis Bluey of Blacksburg.

Jud graduated Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Property Management and Masters of Health and Physical Education. He is employed with Buckingham Management LLC in Indianapolis, Ind. Caitlin graduated Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and works as an independent fitness instructor in their hometown of Carmel, Ind.

The bride’s attendants were Erin Bluey Petersen, matron of honor and sister of the bride. Kate Bluey, sister-in-law of the bride, and Lauren Dunlevy, sister of the bridegroom, Adrienne Belasco and Ruth Blanchard, friends of the bride, Madison Nelis and junior bridesmaid Margo Nelis, cousins of the bride.  Ellen Noel Bluey, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Keith H. Dunlevy served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were good friends Andrew Alston, Cory Price, Lee Rudd, Jonathan Wells and Jon Bluey, brother of the bride. Junior groomsman was Julian Thacker, cousin of the bridegroom.

Wedding rites were performed by Dennis Schnecker. Joe Maye and Will Ricks, friends of the bridegroom, shared relevant scripture. Pianist and song writer Amy Hill rendered the wedding music. Andrew Peterson, brother-in-law, and Kate Bluey, sister-in-law to the bride, were soloists.

Special grandparents in attendance were Charlie and Shirley Dunlevy of Syringa, Va., and Regis Nelis of Pittsburgh. 

Wedding guests attended a formal reception at The Inn at Virginia Tech, hosted by the bride’s parents.

Jud and Caitlin were blessed to have family and friends share in their wedding celebration and honor them with showers and gifts.

On the eve of the wedding a casual dinner was hosted by the bridegroom’s parents in tailgate style on the Virginia Tech drillfield. Wedding party members, family and friends wore their favorite Hokie gear.
