LITTLETON — Mable Allison Spragins, 82, of 758 Eaton Ferry Road, Littleton, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at her residence.

Miss Spragins was born in Warren County, the daughter of the late James H. Spragins and Annie Harris Spragins. She was a retired employee of Carolina Sportswear and was a member of New Testament Christian Church in Roanoke Rapids. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Elmo, James, Melvin and Eugene; and a sister, Charlotte.

She is survived by a sister, Annie Baird Wood and her husband, Billy, of Castalia; three brothers, Bernard Spragins and his wife, Edith, Clyde A. Spragins and Calvin L. Spragins, all of Littleton; two sisters-in-law, Vivian Spragins, of Littleton, and Winston Spragins, of Tampa, Fla.; her special nieces and nephews, Ron Baird and his wife, Trudy, Donna Sandeford and her husband, Keith, Cheryl Carlisle and her husband, Kim, Judy Shaw and her husband, Jason, and other nieces and nephews; and her great-nieces and nephews, Justin, Kelly, Matthew, Amy, Phillip, Katie, Brandon, Kristie and Taylor.

The family received friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 17, at Wrenn, Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service in Roanoke Rapids, which handled the arrangements, and also at 523 Hamilton St., Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 17, in the chapel of the funeral home, with Minister Dale Morris officiating. A private interment was held at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Littleton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Testament Christian Church, 615 Jackson St., Roanoke Rapids NC 27870 or United Hospice, 301 S. Church St., Suite 122, Station Square Complex, Rocky Mount NC 27804.
