ROANOKE RAPIDS — Mrs. Doris Lindella Norggins Williams, 52, of Roanoke Rapids, departed this life peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Williams, of Littleton; her daughter, Darshika Garner, of Richmond, Va.; her son, Mack D. Garner II, of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, Rashika L. Mills and Sierra N. Garner; her mother, Reather S. Norggins, of Rocky Mount; and her siblings, Carolyn Ross (Harry), of Richmond, Va., Sophia Barfield (Willie), of Philadelphia, Willie Norggins Jr., of Roanoke Rapids, Laura Foots (the Rev. Roy), of Richmond, and Johnnie Silver (Odie), of Raleigh.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 23, at Roanoke Chapel Baptist Church in Littleton, with the Rev. Timothy Edwards officiating.
