Helen Wells CrawfordNORFOLK, Va. — Helen Wells Crawford, 82, of Norfolk, Va.,  passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Roanoke Rapids, the daughter of George and Annie Wells. Helen was a counselor at Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Crawford.

She is survived by two daughters, Cecelia Taylor and Brenda Hutton and her husband, Gary; one son, Dennis Crawford; her grandchildren, Pamela Hall and her husband, David, Stephen Taylor II, Dawn Brickhouse and her husband, Darrell, and Gary Hutton II; her great-grandchildren Lyssa Hall, Kyle Hall and Farrah Taylor, all from the Norfolk area; her sisters, Ollie Bennett and Edna Miles, and a brother, Gaius Wells and his  wife, Hazel, all from Roanoke Rapids; her brother-in-law, Louis Crawford and his wife, Billie, and her sister-in-law, Katie Crawford, all from the Virginia area; five nieces, four nephews and many other loving relatives.

 A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, at Bethel Praise & Worship Center, 2695 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk VA 23513. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to www.cbn.com, Operation Blessing, 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach VA 23463.
