FRANKLIN, Va. — Mrs. Hazel Johnson “Mema” Pope, 87, of Boykin, Va., died Monday, May 28, 2012, at South Hampton Memorial in Franklin, Va.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., today, Wednesday, May 30, at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, which is handling the arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 31, at Boykins Baptist Church in Boykins, with the Rev. Raymond Bunn and the Rev. Charles Alvis officiating. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery in Boykins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Boykins Baptist Church or Berean Baptist Church, in Boykins, Va.
