Quankey Missionary Baptist Church was recently recognized as the greatest contributor in the Halifax County Missionary Union’s first quarter activity, “Give a Little, Gain a Lot” project.

According to a press release, this fundraiser, along with other service projects, are conducted to benefit the missional efforts of the union. Along with this project, missionary circles in the union complete service activities to promote unity within the church and the community, spread the gospel, help advocate for those who need it, as well as complete other mission objectives.

Prizes were also awarded to members who participated in this project as follows: A gas card, a grocery card, and an Easter basket of goodies were awarded to Nettie Martin, Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church; Burnell McGee, Allen Grove Missionary Baptist Church; and Helen Reed, St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church, respectively.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Halifax County Missionary Union has had to shift the way its missional landscape looks, but the member churches are still dedicated to the work and they continue to labor for our purposes.
