Seniors play bingo virtually

The Chaloner Senior Citizens Club of Roanoke Rapids has continued to engage its members during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a press release. They continue to virtually meet once monthly via teleconference and drive-by incentives pickups. For the month of November, the Chaloner members virtually played bingo. This minimum communication assists in keeping the members socially engaged and prevent isolation. The seniors plan to physically reunite at Jo Story Senior Center when they feel it is safe to meet in person. Until then, they will continue their communication via teleconferencing and video conferencing. The club members are pictured playing before the pandemic began.
